  • The pickerel are waiting for us

I had not been on the Severn in 3.5 weeks and needed a quick trip to make sure I could still find them. Despite the swirling wind, I launched at 1:30 and fished in sheltered areas for 2 hrs. I managed to catch 4 pickerel ranging from 16" to 19", and had three others on the line that took the minnow but did not stay hooked.

The bite was not fast and furious, but there was some action. The water looked reasonably clean. I hope all who participate in the meet & greet can catch at least one pickerel tomorrow. See you in the morning.
