Video from yesterday's quick afternoon outing at/under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, on the Potomac.

I used the chicken breast tenderloins on 6/0 Gamakatsu circle hooks.

Great video. Those fish looked to be of a similar length. Do you think that using a different or larger bait would have brought in larger fish? I am a real novice concerning catfishing.

I think it was a matter of location. I had some smaller ones that inhaled the 6/0 hook with huge chunks. I'm gonna be looking elsewhere on the Potomac for my monster cat...

What metro said. I was using an 8/0 circle with big chunks and they didn't have any problems with that either, even the smaller 17"-18" fish. And all were excellent placed hook sets, too.

I gotta find the spot for bigger bluecats too. Time to start researching...

Fort Washington park ive caught some monsters down thier in front of the light house,small beach area may be abel to launch a yak from,cut bait gizzard shad and blue gill cut up, heads or the whole fish.2013-03-29-17-21-42.jpg

Yeah, thats the area I'm going to try next. I wanted to fish that point/drop off last time I launched from Ft. Washington Marina, but there was a few boats there so I stayed just south of there.

Maybe try between the bridge pilings or on the sides? Perhaps the smaller weaker cats stay out of the current? Or maybe the big ones are chasing the herring up by Haines point!

So I guess that would be the "Woodrow Shake" then? I think that was your finest video yet, cinematographically speaking. That was a nice mess of fish, too. By the way, what was that silver and black thing you were using to move your yak. I don't think I've seen one of those in your other videos.
