First trip of the year for me. Launched from the beach at Elk Neck State park at 8:30 this morning and fished until around 1:30. Covered about 8 miles along the way. Caught 7 small stripers, up to about 20 inches, and lost a bigger fish. Gate to the park was open at 8 am when I came into the park. Fish were either caught on a white BKD or a metal. If you launch out of Elk Neck make sure you hit the sea wall just south of the beach on the way back in. It's as close to a sure thing as I have found. I have manage to catch at least one short striper off that wall on my last 4 trips to the flats going back to last spring. Beautiful day on the water.
