    Windy!

Didn't fish for more then 2 hours from about 1:30 to 3ish. Caught 1 bass right away. Fought the wind for a while and then hooked into this snakehead. I forgot my net so I decided to paddle back to the launch dragging it behind the yak still on the hook. This is the first one I've cleaned and eaten. It was delicious grilled with a little lemon pepper seasoning.

    I learned two things today:

I gotta stop forgetting my net

I need a bigger filet knife

I am uploading the pictures using my iphone which is really convenient, but they always come out sideways... Anyone know how to remedy this?

Looks like somebody else was eyeing up your snakehead. Nice catch, are they difficult to fillet? I wouldn't worry about the pics, I just turn my monitor on it's side.

To straighten up your pictures, go to your edit feature on your phone and you should see picto grams of what type of edit to do. look for rotate you should be able to rotate by dragging it around. after rotating it, save it, then test and send it to yourself to see how it comes out.

I'm thinking about going Sunday- hitting Slavins for a few hours of exploring and seeing if the spatterdock/lillies are starting to grow back yet- if they are, I should have some decent luck with snakes and LM Bass- going to take my UL outfit and see if it is possible to get a big snakehead on 4# test

A bunch of kayakers fished mattowoman today for Matt's tournament. Yes the spatterdock is pretty much all grown back. Fishing was pretty good for some and slow for others. Big fish of the day was a 20" Lmouth and 30some inch snakehead. I could only manage a small 13" bass. But...
I finally got my first snakehead at 20"!
