Bushwood report...and Turkey Hunting the kindle way

After a morning of semi fruitless turkey hunting....I say "semi" because I did get plenty of reading done!


I had a meeting at work and then my son Ethan and I headed to bushwood to see if there were any cats in.......we had to work hard for thwm but they were there in thee usual spot
Sadly I forgot mey camera and only had cell phone but we did have a good time and laid away fish for a rainy day

mixed bag of worms, fresh perch and menhaden. I think worms would have been the ticket but there were so many micro perch that we could not keep the bait on the hook

Are those turkeys I see beyond the kindle??

ha...ha.....those decoys don't fool us....

Are the blue cats here in numbers now? When I heard they were biting hot last year, I went and had a blast catching a bunch. It was the first time I had them for dinner, and they were quite tasty.

Yes those were decoys...not that they did any good!
We caught blues steady but not in great numbers I caught 6 over 20 and a couple small white catfish.
