I plan on crabbing sometime in June also. As others have mentioned, it has been a cool spring and the water is taking some time to warm up. I caught my first crab last weekend by accident. I got hooked on my fishing line while attacking my bloodworm. It was light and only 4 inches. He was released safely back into the wild. I use gloves and I will be using a few traps for my first run.

I was on South River two weeks ago and a commercial trot linner was barely catching anything... at Rhode's River last week and from the dock there the guy as not doing much better. Oh well... early summer isn't often the best time to bring them in as far as I know.
Hopefully somebody is having some luck on the east side of the bay.
