  • Quick PLO trip

The beauty of living within Point Lookout SP's borders is that I can take a quick trip after I get off duty, and not feel bad when the wind pushes me back to the launch. Today the quick trip paid off, although I would have been happier in a few days. Caught two quick schoolies before the wind turned on me, one at 19" and one at 16". photo (4).jpgphoto (3).jpg

Good deal! Knew you would get a chance to get out there- glad to see the combination is still working-

Your special combo was the only thing they wanted out there! In a somewhat related story, a shore fisherman managed to pull in a 24 inch Speck earlier today on the Potomac side, so next time I'll have to search for something more than a keeper rock.

T.A. I am also a kayaker and I hope we meet and fish soon. I am good friends with John I'm sure you know him. He has taught me quite a bit about kayaking at PLO.

John was actually the person who told me of your impressive catch! It would be great to fish with you soon, I really enjoy picking other fisherman's brains about PLO since I am still learning the trick of fishing in my own backyard.

One thing...the more you fish a stretch of water, the more you learn about the five "W's" of fishing- it is like John Veil's pickerel fishing on his home waters- or kayak 456 fishing his private lake- you know when to fish, where to fish for what species of fish, why they are there, and what to use to catch them-
