  • Whitehall Bay

Yesterday afternoon Terry Hill (Raptor on this list) and I ventured to Whitehall Bay to fish the incoming tide. It was my maiden voyage in my new Revolution 13.

We caught 3 fish each, Terry had three rockfish and I had two rockfish and a white perch that I caught by casting a spinner jig with a yellow curly tailed grub toward the shoreline. Terry got the largest rockfish at 20-inches by trolling a plastic shad with a red tail. At one point we each hooked 18-inch rockfish simultaneously with Rattletraps and we followed them a short while later with smaller pan-sized rock. (My small rock slipped off my hook and decided to take a tour around the seat area of my Revolution. I finally caught it near the Mirage peddles.) We thought we were on to a school but it did not last. Those were our last fish of the night.

We fished until sunset. It was a beautiful afternoon and it cooled off quickly at night.

I’m sorry I have no photos of the fish but I have one of Raptor on the water and one of our boats on the beach.

I was extremely pleased with the handling of the Revolution and the ease with which it peddles. It’s a wonderful fishing machine.

Awesome. I laughed about the fish tour, that happens a lot. Its funny when the fish try to play hide and seek behind the pedals.

Good job on the fish and thanks for the reports with the kind of lures that you used. I love my Revo 13 also.
