Nice catch! It was a pleasure meeting you! I hope we get the opportunity to fish again.

I finally got on the road around 10:30 am and got to the Flats around 12:45 and was on the water by 1:30. I made my way to Sparky1423 (Jeremy) secret spot. I was marking fish all over but could not make them bite. I was met by Yakinfish18 (Rob G.) around 4:30. He trolled all over and managed to catch a 16" and an 11". We called it quits around 7:30, the muscle across the top of both shoulders was screaming.
I retired to my hotel where I gobbled down some KFC chicken and swallowed 3 alieve before crawling into the sack. The alarm went off at 5 am and I stumbled out of bed and into the shower. I was on the road at 5:30 and arrived at Tidings before 6 am. While I was unloading another snaggedline yaker showed up Seapinto (Ryan) we paired up and headed out. This morning I opened two new Smithwick suspending Roages and tied them on before paddling out.
We got about half way to our destination and I decided to drop the lures and start trolling. I didn't even go 50 yards and the left rod went down. Hooked up on a 22" striper on the Lemon Lime Crush colored Roage.
I got the fish to the yak and remembered the story that Goody (Paul) had told me about loosing one of the bogoa grip. I got up on the measuring board to confirm the size and it was a keeper. When I went to take pictures it flopped up and broke my measuring board (Plano model) ok enough rambling here is a picture of the fish and the lure.

In Maryland tidal waters it's illegal to cull striped bass.

IN TIDAL WATERS OF THE STATE IT IS UNLAWFUL:

      1. to have in one's possession aboard any boat on the tidal waters of Maryland any striped bass CUT UP or FILLET during the open or closed season for striped bass. Striped bass must be landed whole.

      2. to have in one's possession aboard any boat on the tidal waters of Maryland more than fifteen (15) pounds of any fish CUT UP upon which a size or weight limit is prescribed by law or regulations.

      3. to have in one's possession American or hickory shad.

      4. to use more than two (2) hooks or two (2) sets of hooks for each rod or line. Artificial lures or plugs with multiple hooks are considered one (1) set of hooks.

      5. for a person to use eel as bait except during the recreational summer striped bass season.

      6. to cull striped bass during open seasons.

      7. during striped bass season to fillet a striped bass. Striped bass must be landed whole.

      8. to fish for striped bass by any means or practice catch-and-release of striped bass in spawning rivers from March 1 through May 31.
