  • Susky Flats Monday 27th

Wanting to chase a few stripers around on the new kayak. Have never fished the flats before. Wanting to get a few guys together to show me the ins and outs! Thinking about launching out of tidings, Anytime on monday 27th!

I will probably be game for the flats on Monday, but I've never fished there either. I hope that the wind and weather hold out, otherwise it will be another day of fishing on the Elk.

So far the weather is looking great! I will be going on Monday if the weather holds out! I talked to one of my buddy's and he is wanting to go as well.

Where do you launch on the Elk? I know of the boat ramps, but was wondering if you had private access? I did all last year right in between the Canal and the Bo. It was great. I love fishing the elk.

You can keep one striper 18-26 inches till the 31 of may!!

Last year I shore fished from the jetty at Rogues Harbor. I have been mostly launching from Elk River Park and fishing near Old Frenchtown Wharf, not venturing too far away as I was ill equipped any emergency situations that may arise.

Is there a spot to unload that is close to the lauch? I haven't invested in a dolly yet.
