  • 6/3 South River shorts

Well I had a productive and very wet morning on the water that produced many fish, but most of them were undersized. I fished Selby Bay, caught two striped bass @15", a near citation perch @12", many spot and croaker in the 3-6" range, only one keeper coaker @ 9". Striper bait was softshell crab (never again...too expensive) and bloodworms for the spot. At one point the bite was so hot I was working one rod in each hand, both getting bites at the same time. Once the tide changed and the sun came out the bite shut down and I went in. I froze some of the spot, planning on using them for cut bait next time.

I livelined one of them, but he managed to swim into some underwater structure and snag himself up so I had to break it off.
