Sun was kind enough to let me use his second kayak, thanks Sun! It was tough fishing for me. I used all sorts of lures and wasn't getting a nibble. I have too much to try and I can never make my mind :P I didn't catch anything until the last hour when I caught one 18" channel cat and a 16" bass. I caught both using a crankbait. I was surprised that the cat hit the crank. Both were a fun fight on light tackle

Thanks Shane for organizing the event! It was great eating and meeting those who came out to Grinders. The food was yummy and cheap

I got there @3:30, fished there til dark......I caught 1-20" LM bass, and another smaller one.....spooked a bunch of snakeheads but couldnt get them to bite. My friend caught a fat 33" sh that weighed 15lbs. I saw lots of watersnakes....more than usual. Sounds like everyone had fun!

Agreed about the water snakes. They were all over the top end of the creek.
