today we eft the dock at 9 and headed out towards the bay
we stopped for 30 minutes to look for spot and found none where we caught them last weekend, so we trolled over to 86 and no takers
we bottom fished there and i caught nothing, but i did manage to catch one 17 inch fish on a twister tail. i spotted a double crab floating and netted them, threw the hard one back and put the softie in the cooler.
.
we then went back across the bay to our secret spot.
i deployed 3 rods with bottom rigs and size 4 hooks . 2 with soft crabs and 1 with bloodworms
right away had double perch on soft crab.
then the croakers came and we caught about 30 and kept a few to eat. most perch were small but a few were big enough to eat. also managed 2 rocks, a 22 and a 26 on little pieces of soft crab on size 4 hooks
after we used up the one soft crab we had, we left. caught all fish in about an hour and it was pretty steady catching
ps we were near thomas point in 35 feet of water
