  • Weems 6/15

Was out late this morning for about 1.5 hours on Weems with my wife and the puppy.
    DSCN5453.jpg
    Catch included 5-6 Perch 8-10", 1 Croaker 7", 1 Pumpkinseed 5", and 1 Pickerel 17".
Lost one Perch yakside that I swear was close to citation, but I'll never know...
Here's the best catch of the day:

It was nice meeting you, your wife, and the puppy.
      Also Excalibur and daughter.
Today's fishing was effected by a very high tide. The water was so high that flicking the spinner jigs under the docks wasn't possible. The action was mostly set about 10 feet off of the bulkheads. At least most of the floating vegetation has flushed out, but the storms have put a bit of trash in the water.
Water clarity was about 1 1/2 feet at the ramp, and about a foot closer to the mouth.
The boat traffic on the main stem of the Severn was mixing the water up pretty good.
I gave the white perch a run for their money. Maybe 12-15 fish, with nothing over 7 ".

I saw you out there and waved. I was with my daughter in the tan tandem. I haven't caught any perch yet and we didn't figure those out this morning, but we caught a few small croaker and my daughter caught a blue crab with her rod. What a beautiful morning! We ran into Excalibur and his daughter as they were launching.

          Is that a tandem hobie?
I thought I saw you guys pedaling.
Sorry I didn't wave back, I was dealing with some braided line wrapped around my prop in the eletro-canoe.

Nice pics Ryan...I don't think my dog would wear I life jacket. No worries, he hates the water. Did you see any Weems creek brown trout floating past? Haha
