  • Good day at 301 bridge

Since my son and grandson caught keeper reds from the boat last week I decided to try from the kayak yesterday. Using a redfish magic spinner I caught some throwback stripers and some huge blue cats and this 18.75" red

The tide had just started in, so I changed to a spot with current showing where I caught many keeper stripers. Kept the first 2 and then an hour of C & R. What a day

Hope to go back Monday if anyone wants to meet up.

Good deal, Bob- looks like the spot were what the big boys (or girls) were looking for- nice redfish- seems to be about the average keeper- just about the same size I got two weeks ago down south of the bridge-I'm headed out in the morning

Nice work on the red and good mix of other fish.

That's awesome, Bob. Congrats on all the nice, fat fish. That red must've pulled like a freight train. The only thing I've been able to conjure up with a Redfish Magic seems to be making the redfish disappear. I've caught all kinds of other fish on it, though.

It is the Potomac just south of 301 bridge (MD side). Westmoreland is about 15 miles to the south and on the VA side
