Back in 1987 they caught an 8'6" bull near the bay bridge. However, there never has been a reported shark attack in the Cheaspeake Bay, lotta missing and unaccounted for people, but no shark attacks(only kidding about the missing people).
Some marine biologist believe due to the jelly fish population in the bay during the warmer months it keeps the swimmers out of the water which may account for no reported shark attacks, but only speculation at this time.
