Launched from SPSP this morning around 6 am. Brought my girlfriend along for the ride. She wasnt too happy about the early wake-up. This was my first time fishing the pilings with my Humminbird 597ci HD so it was more of a learning experience for me. Really cool to finally see the structure. I forced myself to work on my jigging technique by bringing nothing but a box of BKDs in various colors and jig heads of various weight. By the end of the day I think I finally hit my stride with 3/4oz of weight. Unfortunately I have nothing to show for it. Really slow day out there. My girlfriend caught a short on a 4" Gulp Pogy and that was the only rock I saw boated today.
