7/6 Severn crabbing

Nothing to show for it except one crab. Crabbed the little cove just north of USNA. Used topless traps and white perch heads for bait.

I've never had much luck with open traps on this coast.

I've always had the best luck on the channel edges, try to get in the 8-12 foot range. Open top trap will work fine and you were using my favorite bait. I think that cove is just too shallow right now.
