  • South River Seahorse & Clamming Report!

today was interesting, we caught dozens of clams, 3 soft shells and a seahorse in the south river, as well as 12 jumbo perch

while checking my crabpot i noticed this little guy, are they common?

anyway i decided to do a little clamming( i do it in north carolina ALOT but only a few times in southern maryland)

First clamming trip yielded 16 clams, brought them home to show mom then we released them.

went to a new spot and caught 18 in about a half hour!

It may no seem like fun but it was!

we also found 3 peelers and watched them shed in a bucket of water.

they will be on a hook tonight

Ps, the seahorse and clams were caught in the south river!

I have eaten them from clean tested waters and they are pretty good chowder clams.

Looks like a good time on the water.
