Nothing to really write home about... I got out on the water a little after 1:00 with a nice over cast. So I went to my normal honey hole and dodged and weaved boats and a million sailboats motoring because the winds were low. So I had to make a decision, go up river or down river... I decided to go down river and try an old spot we used to hit near the shipyard... Well the buoy that was the mark of the spot was gone! LOL

I was casting towards the shoreline every so often with a 1/2 oz. Rat L Trap and then started trolling. Then I saw my rod almost get yanked in the water...drag wayyy too tight, and caught a nice 24" Rockfish. I caught one other at all of 7" and called it a day. Good to be out on the water!

Well If you're only going to catch a couple fish, that's the way to do it!

              Sweet! Totally agree with Shady!

I valve two rat l traps and haven't used them once.... Guess I should break them out and try them!

My unscientific findings at Jonas Green this year are that Rat L Traps and Curly Tail Grubs on jigs are the "go to" lures.

If you can't catch white perch or stripers with one of those two lures the fish probably aren't there or aren't interested in feeding.

Nice striper catch. That not only salvaged a slow day, but was a good fish.
