I'm positive it wasn't a smallmouth. It had a silver flash, not bronze.

Hmm...hard to say. I had a guy tell me the other day that he caught a spec in the Severn. He didn't have pictures, but who knows. All the more reason to get out there and try to catch him again!

Last year I caught a small flounder from shore @ Jonas Green and earlier this spring while fishing overnight on the old 450bridge, I saw someone catch a 17" red. I know because I measured it. I was surprised too.

Last summer I caught puppy drum on several trips in the Severn and tribs, they didn't jump much, just pull hard and make really long runs. I've caught quite a few large perch that jumped out of the water.

Must have been a perch. A jumping perch was a first for me!
