Sat I decided to go speck fishing at the Honga. Weather report looked good when I checked on Friday. I get to the launch and winds were 10-15mph, complete opposite of what the report said. I still managed to have a pretty good morning. Landed 6 specks all over 20inches, couple striper biggest at 21inches and some nice croaker around 14inches. Around noon, winds started to pick up and got a bit rough making it hard to troll and cast so I decided to head back and fish the bridge. Launched at Terrapin, caught around a dozen spot and headed over to the pilons. First drop I landed a 25incher. Then for the next hour nothing! I then decided to go a bit deeper and ended up landing a 31incher. It put up a nice fight on my trout rod Overall, good day out on the water.
