I decided to brave the boat traffic and head to Kent Narrows yesterday. I launched at GoodHands Creek and spent most of my day around Hog Island. I caught lots of perch, most under 9". I caught a 17" Striper on the same spinner I was casting to the Perch in the shallows on a UL rod. That was exciting! I decided to head under the bridge thinking I might find some space to work the edge of the channel, but there was too much boat traffic. I should have stayed at the wall and by Hog Island. I fished along the shore for awhile waiting for the tide to turn to ride the current back, but I read the tide times wrong and needed to get back to my car, so I enjoyed a couple hours of hard paddling into the wind and current to get back to the launch! Great workout but Ill be more careful with the tides in this place next time! I ended up with three stripers total (17". 12" and 10"), many perch and I caught one 8" spot on a 1/2 ounce Rat L Trap. I think I must have snagged him! I kept two tiny perch to live line by the channel edge. I ended up letting them go, but has anyone had success live lining perch instead of Spot and does it make any sense at Kent Narrows?
