    Matt -

Great catch. As I mentioned on Facebook, I caught my largest ever pickerel on Nov 11 last year at a spot very close to where you show your catch in the photo. Mine was 23-3/4" -- a little shorter than yours. Given the rarity of pickerel that large in the Severn, it is possible that you caught the same pickerel, now a year older. Here is a photo of mine (I don't know why the colors were so weird that day). It looks like there was a scar on the right side of the fish about half way back. Did you see anything like that on yours?

Now that you know where it lives, consider entering the SRRKC pickerel tournament. I will announce the details in another week or so.

Awesome pickerel! Can't say I've ever seen one that size before. We don't have a whole lot in my neck of the woods in Louisiana, and the largest I've caught since I moved up to MD was only 18".
