  • My Luxurious Life in Chesapeake Bay III (Nov 5, 2013)

I had morning off at work.
Fished 6 hours for a fall trophy striper off Breezy Point marina (near Chesapeake Beach). I trolled for three hours pulling tandem 9" shads. Next three hours, I chased birds. Caught about 20 stripers. Two were @ 21 and 22"
When I came back with 5 boats, I found that they were skunked. They should have carried small lures for light tackle fishing..... The water temp was 56F. Where are big stripers???

    Fishing log:

No, it's still broken. I don't know how to apply epoxy glue inside the broken handle (hole) and a piece of bicycle flag pole. The bicycle flag pole (fiber glass) is right size for the hole. I used the Trevala.

Nice! Looks like the keepers were on the soft plastic and the smaller ones all on the stingsilver?

The 6" BA was on 1oz jig. The gold was a 2oz Stingsilver. I didn't bring small lures. I had 9"-12" soft lures and 2oz jig for big ones. The small stripers was chasing 3" silver side. So I used the smallest lures I had. I wished I had 3-5oz Stingsilver

I monitored FF constantly to find bigger stripers. Twice I found bigger stripers with bigger bait. This resulted in two keepers. Two keepers were chasing 7" herring (or shad) according to the autopsy
