I fished the length of Weems Creek today and caught nothing. Made it out into the Severn and fished around the Route 50 bridge. No signs of aquatic life whatsoever. Still glad I tried though.

I was thinking about going out there this morning, but about 1/2 way through my first cup of coffee the winds started to pick up here in Crofton. A quick check of the weather said it was blowing 15 mph at the Naval Academy so I just stayed home. I didn't feel like fighting the wind. How was it?BRETT

Sorry you did not find the pickerel in Weems. They were not biting there yesterday either. But from some other reports they were biting in other sections of the river. My buddy Virgil Poe nailed the pickerel in the Magothy yesterday after he and I struggled to find them on Wed.John Veil

The frustration is that the Weems Creek shoreline is textbook pickerel habitat.
I expected a hit with each cast because the place looks so darned fishy.
