SPSP 12/4/2013 No catch... but there are fish...

I wanted to make to Terrapin Beach.. check off another on the bucket list...
but ran late and opted out for Sandy Point. I hadn't explored north of the bridge,
so I launched at the park at the upper corner facing the lighthouse.
Got in the water about 2:30 basically as planned to hit the high tide.

More trip information at Sandy Point Trip

I wanted to post the GPS track of my route... just follow the lights !

In the spirit of the season... and some other reports where we deducted the locations
of fishing hotspots by the direction of the blades of grass at their feet and the Halloween
    costumes....

I wanted to post the GPS track of my route... just follow the lights !

Thanks for the report. Was it that you didn't have anything that could reach the fish or were they not biting?

I had two trolling rigs off the rear (and two top waters for the front).

I had no problem getting to the bottom...

Thanks for the report. Yes, there are fish at the BB. I heard rumors of a kayaker almost landing a 40 incher there 2 days ago.

When it's cold and they're stacked up deep, my go-to is a 6" BKD on 3/4-1oz jig head. Jig the bottom till they get pissed off and bite it.

I just saw Jeff Little and shawn Kimbro's collaboration on fishing the BB and surrounding area for fall/winter bass. Great 30min video. They talk about those 35-40 inchers in the area and how they use the 6" BKD/Gulp to Jig them up.

Great catches out there! I do well over the rubble with jigging spoon with a teaser fly attached. I can't tell you how many times the WP will go after the 1 1/2 oz spoon and the Stripers go after the fly! LOL
