Congrats to the Walleye Pete crew on catching those nice Stripers. The Fishamajig crew did OK in numbers over the 2 days. Our highlights included 5 nice pups and 2 good sized tog on jigs.

This was a great trip and im kicking myself for not bringing my gopro along. The fishing was alot slower than expected due to Walleye Pete sort of hyping it up by saying his avg per day this month is around 70 fish with his best 150+....needless to say i had high hopes and in the end i left happy and satisfied although we and especially Pete worked tirelessly for the fish we did catch. We kept joking that this day was gonna destroy his average.I wish i had video of how close he would get to those pilings in that ripping current, there were times when i swore he was gonna bump one but the man knows his boat and his electronics and he goes where the fish are. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about it. It was kinda crazy seeing fellow snaggedliners down there i was pretty shocked to run into Moc 4 hours from home on a charter boat in winter on a particular day when it was only 4 people total boarding. It definitaly made the trip better to be fishing alongside familar faces. At one point i think we were all fishing on the same side of the boat at a particular piling with ripping current and yet we managed to stay tangle free and catch fish.

Definitaly gotta give props to Pinch for coming out to fish in that chop, i definitaly wouldnt have done it in a kayak and Pete kept calling him crazy for attempting it. There was protection behind the islands but in the open it was really choppy.

The only downside of this trip for me is that on Thursday night on my way down i got pulled over for speeding about 10 or 15 miles before the CBBT. I have a little bit of a heavy foot and with a v8 its easy to over do it especially driving 4 hours alone at night.Anyways i couldnt catch a break and didnt even get a ticket i got a summons to appear in court for reckless driving since it was over 20 mph over the speed limit(78 in a 45). So sometime in February on a Tuesday at 2 pm I have to appear in court in Virginia and i guess ill find out how expensive this trip really was.

Toyomo I would lawyer up, that is going to be a reckless driving charge. It has happened to a few of my buddies and they have all gotten off by way of a lawyer.

I fished with Pete the week before you and landed well over 30 fish, the bite really slowed before your trip. Last week there was a school of striper 4' thick the entire length of the island.

Been there done that with the reckless driving charge. It's a misdemeanor offense, get yourself a lawyer unless you don't care about your record. Oh and don't worry about finding a lawyer, they'll find you. You'll start getting pamphlets in the mail with all the scare tactics. Lawyer cost me $500 and the court fees and fine were another $160. It's an absolute joke of a law and it's purely money driven.

For anyone else, anything over 80mph or 20mph over the posted limit is reckless.

Yea even the cop himself was telling me to get a lawyer. It seems to be such a legal scam they got going. 500 bucks plus the fine? Ouch.

The lawyer will get you off. Virginia is the only state I won't speed to much in.

I got stopped going 61 in a 35 a few weeks ago, but in MD Eastern Shore. The cop came back and said: "I'm issuing you a citation for... uhh... pardon me... uhh... it's a warning... I pushed the wrong button."

I'd like to add going 5+ in PA is risky. The screwy roads don't make it any easier. I agree VA is ridiculous with their fines and sur charges. Gotta love MD, can do 15 over and the cop is just reading a magazine.

They look for out of staters ........ You get tickets for not moving over a lane when police have someone pulled over
