took the afternoon and headed to Tuckahoe to try my hand at some pickerel fishing.
Too lazy to load the sink but turned out to be a wise choice as half the lake was frozen over.
I'ver been there several times over the years and have rarely seen the entire dam covered and flowing. Had I taken the yak I may have been tempted to run the dam
fished below the dam and got a surprise 15" brown trout ( prime candidate for a Masgouf Dinner this weekend). Another angler walked out of the woods w/ 5 nice rainbows.
The small bridge on the launch side produced an 18" pickerel.
Crappie where not interested ibn my bullheads.
As the sun set I was treated to a Honking symphony as several gaggles of geese circled the lake.
