Hey guys-just wanted to say hello-new to the board. Have been messing around fishing in rented kayaks for a while and just made the plunge to getting my own-ocean kayak trident 13-over the winter-now if winter will just go away. Would love to get out with some folks to do some trips for anything-i live in wheaton but happy to travel. Up until now my local fishing has been mostly wading in the potomac for smallies-what made me HAVE to buy a kayak were a bunch of float trips i did on the south fork of the shenandoah last year. Trying to figure out how/when/where to do the local saltwater fishing. I grew up fishing ion long island sound and have done a bunch of kayak fishing in florida. Just got back from a trip to 10,000 islands. happy to share info on that..... anyway this is a great board. Looking forward to getting to know people here. Thanks, Sam

Welcome aboard. Go to the monthly meet and greet. You'll meet plenty of folks. It's usually the 2nd Saturday of every month. Look at the schedule for the M&G on the main part of the board to see where it's going to be at. Search for 2014 Meet and Greet schedule.Last edited by Goody; 03-31-2014, 10:22 PM.

Welcome aboard wheatkayak. Even though its been cold some folks have already ventured out for the year. Keep your eye on the boards... most of us post what we're up to in hopes someone wants to join in. Its always good to have some company especially if you're heading out on big water. And feel free to post what you want to do. Someone is bound to want to go with you.
