It definitely takes a ton of dedication and patience. It's very pressured water and not a huge population. But there are some high20-30 lb fish.

I actually watched a small muskie eat a small fish right at my feet the other day.maybe two feet long. Fast as a missile, it was really cool to see. And reassuring that some of the fish they stocked a few years ago must have made it. They have also stocked stripers again for a few years. I watched a guy catch about a 25" a week ago on chicken liver.

I've caught stripers in Liberty on chicken livers.
I'd love to see one of those musky!

That little cove by the dam with all the submerged stumps looked like it would've been awesome too. I only had one small hit on a worm in there, might have been a bluegill.

Went to Piney Run on its opening day (4/1) for nearly 10 hours, tossing spinnerbaits, flukes, jerkbaits, and even nightcrawlers. Only had a single bite (~14'' rainbow trout on a rooster tail that was long-distance released). The water was very muddy on the northern side of the reservoir back then. Glad to hear it's waking up this month!

I'd love to hit a few more times to try to figure it out.

I'm looking to try new places this year. I may give Little Seneca a try next.
