Nice. Glad to know they're heading my way. I'm on the upper Severn...and regularly launch from my marina at Rock Cove (the narrowest point in the river) and paddle/troll down to Cedar Point...or even Round Bay and either float and cast or troll back up. Some really great spots up there. Lots of creeks on both sides of the river w/ lots of sudden fluctuations in water depths (4 ft to 24 ft). Now that I know they're (finally)down at the bridges (which I can see from where I am) I know I'm next in line to (hopefully)pull them in.
I spent 3.5 hours trolling in the Severn this morning. The bite was slow overall (caught only a 12" and 17"), but I had one other massive strike. It pulled line for nearly a minute before I could start gaining line back. As I worked the fish in, that line tangled horribly with the line from a second rod. While I attempted to get untangled the fish broke off the lure. Judging from the strength of this fish vs. the 26" fish I caught last week, today's fish was probably at least 30". I regret that I did not get to see the fish and that I lost my best-producing lure. But I am thrilled that fish of this caliber can be found in my local fishing grounds.

Couldnt agree more John. Heading out tomorrow morning with my girlfriend who wants to try out her new one. I will be trolling some lures behind me while we are out!. Sounded like you missed a good one. What depth was he in?
I'm not sure. I had been in 12-15 ft, then headed to deeper water. A bit after the fish hit, the depth was over 30 ft. So it could have been on an edge.

I was thinking about trolling a little deeper to see if maybe the bigger ones are cruising down there (not to say they wont be shallow). It just seemed like last year in 5ft of water I wasnt hooking into any biggins
