I wouldn't mind fishing until sundown, never been on the bay after dark.

The evening bite is excellent right now. Those blues I caught recently have all been about an hour before dusk through sunset. I go out during the week around 5-5:30pm and stay till they stop biting.

I do late night fishing for croaker on Sat or Friday nights as long as the water is calm and wind is light.

During the day, if the wind is more than 8mph the water gets too muddy for the fish to bite and you have to move out into the deep 15'+ and fish for spot and live-line them. Right next to the charter boats most of the time...

I am going this evening around 5, and possibly tomorrow too. We can do some night fishing this weekend as long as the thunderstorms stay away. If you guys decide to come out, just check the first post on this thread for details. Spoons and rattle traps, or other shiny things that you don't mind bluefish chewing up.

Wind from the East is good, especially for my sail. Makes the trip back real easy if I decide to go farther out.

Well that plan when in the recycle bin just as quickly as it came up....I can't go tomorrow, have to pick my daughter up from work tomorrow and Thursday. We already have plans for Friday afternoon/evening, so I'll be fishing somewhere Friday morning.

I'll let you know. I really want to get down there and go after some blues. Might be a nuisance to some people, but they are still a novelty to me...since I've never caught one.
