I am from the Midwest and leeches are the go to bait for everything especially walleye. I have caught thousands upon thousands of walleye on simple lindy rigs/bottom bouncers and a jig tipped with a leech. They are also amazing for smallmouth and panfish. The two best things about them are that they are very durable on a hook and keep very well at home (just keep them in cold water , feeding not nesscary and they will last for a year). My question is, has anyone used them on the upper Potomac or anywhere else with any success?

When i finally get my kayak i am going to order a few pounds of leeches and try them out on the potomac. A few pounds will last almost the entire year.

The only time I've ever used leeches was up in Maine on Panther Pond. You could find them in the rocky shallows of the lake. We used small dip nets to scoop them up when we spotted one.
Never caught a damn thing with them.2018 Hobie Outback (seagrass)
