Took my buddy out this morning. Slow bite, but they were biting. He had never fished for cats before. He used to teach fly fishing for Orvis, so we will be teaching each other. Took him a few times to learn patience and let the circle hooks work there magic. The look on his face was priceless when he thought he could text his wife and the fish wouldn't notice ! His rod was bent around him and bouncing like mad in an instant. He threw his phone under the ascend's seat and landed it. It got too windy and choppy to stay out. uploadfromtaptalk1404675197405.jpg

I used cut blue gills. A large circle hook in a 60lb test leader, barrel swivel and an egg slip weight above. 30 lb test line. I'm glad I had added the heavy leader. When I pulled my anchor out of the crate I knocked my net into the water. I couldn't get to it in time. If they refuse to open up for the grips, I can still lift them in with the leader.Hobie Outback

Thanks guys. Thanks K9. I met K9 while fishing for my bait in the local community pond. Pretty cool to meet up with another snaggedline member so close to home while fishing from the bank in a pond. I have a yak, me too. I'm on snaggedline, me tooHobie Outback
