  • Love PT 7/21

Fished the Love PT area today. Caught multiple stripers ranging from 18 to 25 inches. Also lost a few tails on soft plastics from bluefish. All fish were caught trolling bucktails with paddle tail trailers. I am not exactly sure what depth as my ff battery was dead but I would estimate 20-30 ft. Not my best day there but it was still a nice trip.

Nice! Glad to see some blues showing up love their fight. Nice to have a private launch at love point.

It is nice to have access to Love PT, wish I had a good launch point to fish the Bloody PT area too. I'll be throwing some spoons and hard baits next time and hopefully will land a few blues.

Great report! How much weight on the buck tails? Just curious,

At what time did you launch, and when was the high or low tide? Thanks

I was using 1/2oz and 1oz bucktails they hit both equally. Fished the afternoon around 4:30 and it was high tide, with little movement.

Is there a launch at Love Point now?

Thanks. Was the paddletail directly on the bucktail, or was it trailing as you said? If trailing, how far back, and was it on a plain or feathered hook? Apologies for so many follow-ups. Thanks

There is no public launch near love PT. The paddle tail plastics were directly on the bucktail.

you can launch from the south end of kent island to reach bloddy point from the marina there. problem is they want around $30 to launch!

I noticed that marina when I was scoping the area out on Google maps. $30 is a little to much, it may be worth it this fall when the bigger bass are around.
