  • Jonas Green

I know it's a little late but just wanted to put an open invite to anyone that wants to come. I'll be launching out of Jonas Green Park early Saturday morning around 6am for some Severn white perch and whatever decides to hit my lures.

It was a great day on the water this morning. I launched at Jonas Green around 6:30am to try and avoid the boat traffic that I knew was coming later. I was using crappie soft plastics and beetle spins to find where the perch were. I also trolled two Saltwater assassins (electric chicken) but nothing was hitting them so i continued the search for perch. There were so many crab pots littering the river that I couldn't take advantage of the oyster reefs. Ended up on the opposite side of the launch and tried the rocks at the flag pole. At last I was getting perch after perch, more than once two at a time. I caught a total of 32 perch but only kept 11 that were over 9". My biggest was a nice fat 12". As always boat traffic was so bad by 1030 so i decided to cross the river and head home. 20140809_112744.jpg

            Hugo,

That area you mentioned is one of my favorite perch spots.

I'm glad it produced well for you.

Nice work Hugo, Must have just missed you. I was out as well along the docks and rocks on the east side of the river until about 1. Boat traffic made it a little bumpy, but the fish did not seem to mind. I threw back more perch then I can remember, and probably the same ones multiple times, but only landed about 6 that were over 9 inches and worth keeping though.
