Fished off the shores of KI from 5:30-8:30. The tide was low and slack when I launched. I immediately started catching stripers and blues. As the tide started to rise large schools of breaking rockfish moved in. There were more bluefish mixed in as well. I was using a variety of hard baits, the best being a Tsunami reverb in a bunker pattern. I highly recommend picking one up as the 3 inch one imitates the baitfish(bunker/menhaden) perfectly. There were quite a few keeper sized fish but I stopped taking pictures as the action heated up.

Its OK, you can say Love Point. We wont ask you where you launched again....lol.
Must be nice. That's a great area to fish. Love point and swan point and up into the chester was usually where I would head when taking the boat out. And I'm on the western shore.
Over the years I've found lots of breaking fish over there and had many days where I would have to stop casting cause my arms would just get worn out reeling in fish ... lol.
Been thinking about trying to load up the yaks in the boat and heading across the bay over there and just anchor up and put the yaks in.2013 PRO ANGLER 12

This report was actually south of Love PT, and I launched from Cloverfields community beach. I have friends who live there and I can go with them as a guest. I do fish Love PT alot as my parents live near there. It seems like every time I go there are breaking fish, and it does get tiring after pulling in 30 fish in the matter of a few hours. The bite there now is better than it has been all summer. It would definitely be worth the mothership trip.Last edited by Boosted; 08-20-2014, 12:12 AM.
