7/5 ESE winds 10mph +, launched from wallaces. Winds were wrong for the flats. Started hitting all the marshes behind Grandview with no luck. Said screw it and headed for the flats. Rough and windy sums it up. Never pushed all the way around. Stopped at the old pier and picked up some stripers. Almost 23" & 13" with a few missed Hooksets in between. Both were locked up on a zman 4" diezel minnowz in Mulletron color on a 1/4oz jig. Wind picked up so we headed in as I did not feel comfortable having my fiance out there any longer. It was a good day with a slow start, but didn't have to take home any skunk. Now if only they were still in season.
