  • CBBT (Togless) Fri/Sat 11-12 Dec 2015

    Fri
Fished for togs up to the 2nd SBC with blue crab.
Total catch: Togless + fish = 8 toads

    Sat
Fished all the way to the 1st island. I even gave them a choice of shrimp or blue crab on a tandem rig.
    Total catch: Togless + more fish = 9 toads + 4 bsb

Another yaker caught 1 short tog, 1 short black drum, and toads. I did not see the seven anglers among the three boats catch any togs while at the 1st island.

That's right. I was togless, even after 16 hours on the water over two days. On the plus-side, both days were very good days to yak fish: light winds, calm water (1' waves), mostly sunny, and air 60+ deg. Water was 54-55 deg.

Only the 1st pic was taken on Friday.

You lucky dog. You're going to have to tell me your secret spots...and lend me your boat...lol. Thanks for the report.

There were two other yakers using blue crab, but they gave up about noon.

Anglers reading this thread will flock to the 1st island, then later find out their friends caught fish at the pilings...lol. You never know.

No wonder the boaters I watched didn't catch togs; they overheard you earlier...lol.

Good to hear your togs reports. I was beginning to think the togs went on vacation.

Lmao... the boaters we're grinding their teeth watching us land the togs every 5-10mins. Lol.

I found a decent deep hole that housed like 20 togs.

Minitruckin2011, were you on a boat or kayak fishing? Where there any kayaks near you fishing?

Left the kayak and pulled out the skiff to bring a few friends toggin. We pretty much stayed around the island Saturday.
