I've got one of RexDelRey's action hats. I took it down to Florida the last week of December and got some footage. The hat sits slightly higher on your head than a normal cap. I went with the black, curved bill. You can mount the camera on the back and wear the hat backwards. I wore it forwards and didn't really notice the bill getting in the way.

Are there any extra parts needed to mount the standard gopro? It seems some extra accessory is needed.

I ordered one, camo/curve Bill - I bought a camo because it will get stained immediately. I can always spray paint the cap with different color later, I think.
I am going to review for kayak fishing. And the first thing I will do is adding a chin strap for the rough water
