A buddy and I are planning on trying to fish the Concrete Ships April 29th. Is there any tips for two rookies?
Also is there any camping around that area? The state park said they don't open for camping until May.

Bottom rigs baited with shrimp or crab should get you tog. Fish the areas where the ships are crumbling away

They have campsites in kiptopeke which is where you will be launching from. Alsoif there is any chop dint get to close to the ships or the waves might cause you to bump the ships at an awkard angle causing yoy to turtle. Just keep your head at the center of your yak.
The best time spent is time that doesn't feel like it was spent at all. When it's worth it you'll give everything to do it all over again no matter what the cost.

If they aren't open for camping then, you could try Cherrystone Campground 20 minutes north of Kiptopeake. I am pretty sure they are open year round.

Good luck. Keep and eye out on the wind forecast. A bit breezy Fri & Sat but from the east / northeast it shouldn't be too bad on the back side of the ships. Sunday looks sketchy with stronger winds from the south / southwest.
