CBBT (More drums, No pups) Fri 11-25-16
It was a pretty good yak fishing day. Water had only small waves. There was light breeze, but it picked up a little later in the day. It was cloudy most of the day. The current was fair; pretty easy to fish the pilings.
Water temp was 55 deg. Air was in the 50’s, but the wind chill made it a bit colder in the afternoon.
A bunch of puppy drums were caught in past weeks (I caught several last weekend), but none today. Anyway , here’s my catch, after targeting togs by hanging shrimp all day:
7 black drums (11-13.5”)
2 togs (11, 13”)
15-20 black sea bass and toads
Talked to two other yakers on their in from fishing the 1st island. They used blue crab and caught a couple keeper togs.
Again, a good day to yak fish.
