May as well give up on flounder. Wait for cooler water and togs.
Hope you chase Cobia next year, Joe. Because I want to follow you
Water Temp is still 68-69 F at CBBT. I checked my logs for togs at CBBT:
09/24/2016 - caught keeper flounder, sheepshead, and a 17" Tog (water temp was way over 70 F)
In October, as long as water temp is below 67 F, keeper togs were caught in the past 5 years at CBBT.
* So I think we can still fish for both flounder and togs. I think we will catch more keeper puppy drum when togging with shrimp. I am expecting many puppy drums at the same tog pilings
Regarding next year Cobia fishing:
We will fish between Opening day (probably June 1) and July 15th.
After that I will search for kayak-able tarpon waters. - I think I can find the waters before I retire.
