Looking for togs, I fished with frozen shrimp from the 1st to the 2nd SBC. I caught four short togs and many BSB and toads. Largest tog was 15”. I did get a good hook up during late morning, but it came off. I think it was a keeper tog.
The surprise of the day was a 13” BSB because most of these fish around the area are small. This was the second keeper size BSB I caught in the many years I’ve fished this place.
I got only a few blips on the fish-finder all day. Maybe stripers.
You know, it’s hard to get keeper tog nowadays. Or maybe colder water temp will bring’em out.
The 5-10 kt winds made it sort of cold, but the day was good; 1-2 ft waves/surf, air in 50s, and blue sky. Water temp: 52 deg.
