Shad in the Occoquan River

I fished about an hour(5pm-6pm) for shad in the Occoquan river yesterday. Since I didn't have much time, I just fished from the shore under the pedestrian bridge. Not sure about the tide, but it seems quite low at the moment. Air temp seems about 60 degrees. When I was out two weeks ago, it was sort of slow, so I wasn't expecting much. But wow I had a blast yesterday. I think I got fish every 3 to 4 cast. It was so much fun. I was using a tandem rig, shad dart and silver spoon. Mostly they hit the silver spoon. I may go out this Saturday again.

Thanks for the report. I heard shad were there for 3 weeks now. I will try oneday
