Grant,
Congratulations on your catches.
Special mention to Gregg for his flyrod snakehead. Do you know if he was using topwater or a streamer?
Thank you,Mark

Mark and Belair,
He caught it on a topwater frog that he tied. My fish was actually an inch longer, but he wins the day in my book.Native Titan Propel 12

Hey guys! It was a great outing. We weren't sure if it was worthwhile in the rain, but happy we went. Grant an I each missed a few other eats, so action ws better than expected on a windy, rainy, not great tide day!
I've caught a few this year on a deer hair frog pattern I call the fugly frog. It's a loosely packed (low-riding) frog on a texas hook. I use titanium wire and a short flymen fishing co articulated shank to extend the tying area. This also extends materials closer to the hook so its 100% weedless. Better than any mono guards I've ever used. When the fish bites, the titanium wire moves and reveals the hook, and with the low memory, it springs right back.
Attached is one I caught a snake on last week. This one is using Kelly Galloups Belly Bumper hooks. I am liking them, but you have to add a few lead wraps to the bend of the hook so it keels properly. Screen Shot 2019-06-10 at 11.26.03 AM.jpg2017 Jackson Kayak Mayfly
