  • Looking for a launch in Leesburg

I’ll be in the area next Wednesday for my job and looking for a place to possibly launch that afternoon. I know Mills riverfront park is near where I’m staying. Is that a good place to launch or does anyone have any other suggestions. I appreciate any info I’ve never fished the area.

I've never been, but a quick search turned up Kephart Bridge Landing, 43942 Riverpoint Dr, Leesburg, VA 20176

From google, puts you in below the rocks but decent paddle/pedal to get into the Potomac. There is (minimal) parking on-site per the google satellite.

There's also Confluence Park, Perdido Bay Terrace, Leesburg, VA 20176

Looks like its with on the point with water access, but can't tell regarding parking.

    Good Luck Keith.

Head north of Leesburg (~10mi) on Rt 15 (Leesburg Bypass) and it will take you to Point of Rocks, MD. Nice launch right onto the Potomac.

Thanks Mike. Hopefully I’ll get off soon enough to get out!
