you could use small boat bumpers (inflatable rubber things) from bass pro and attach one from your front handle to one of your bungees for the top hatch. If you mount is horizontal with slack in the rope you could flip it over to the contact side easily and its removable. Just a thought

That's a good idea, Joe. Never thought of that. I might just try it.

I was thinking about using those dock bumper/shields too. Run rope through a 10-foot length and attach the ends of the rope to the bow and stern. Use extra cord to tie the bumper to the rigging along the yak. But the bumper will not be quickly and easily removable.

Soon, someone will come up with a great idea. While waiting I may apply more Gorilla tape ($8 per roll).

I think I may have the solution!! So I happen to be watching Mythbusters at the moment on tv and they are testing that "Truck Bed Liner Paint" can withstand scratchs, dings, and even bomb resistant.

Sooo I think if you can spray it on at contact points lining with painters tape it might be the best and even only a one time application Solution!!

rubbing up against concrete is rough on plastic- barnacle encrusted is even worse- you need to rig up a springer setup with a stand off spring type fender- kinda like the old curb feelers on cars- scratches on the rotomolded poly happen, but constant rubbing from the wave and tide action of plastic in contact with eroded concrete and barnacles could be very harmful to hull integrity-

Would that stuff stick to plastic? They also said it gets hot as it cures. Might want to try it on a bucket first.
