Sheepshead Bonanza, Flounder, Fishermans Island (CBBT), VA, 06/04/2022

We went for Flounder and Sheepshead off Wise Point boat ramp, VA. Wise Point boat ramp is close to Fisherman's Island where Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) Eastern side starts. We went for sheepshead first at the High-Rise (CBBT Eastern side). There, we caught 10 large sheepshead 5 were trophies at 24 - 25.5 inches, up to 13.5 LB. We also caught a 20 inch flounder and a 25 inch black drum while fishing for sheepshead.
Back at the Fisherman's inlet bridge, I caught a flounder. But it jumped off the kayak. It was one of the remarkable days.

I plan to fish CBBT (Western Shore off Buoy 44 Restaurant) for Flounder and Sheepshead one more time before June 15, before the cobia season starts.,

Nice report! I haven’t fished the north bridge yet, except for the shoals. I’ve heard that area can be really good for cobia as they come in the bay too.
